As we get closer to the dinners, volunteers will be given more specific instructions about what position they have volunteered for. Some folks have been asking for what types of things we need volunteers for and so we are compiling this very broad list. It is up to you if you want a specific role to play or just generally want to help.
A big thank you to everyone we have already heard from, you’re awesome and it might just be possible to do this!
Volunteers are in 4 main categories;
Between dinners, Day of the dinner, At the dinner, and Clean Up.
Between dinners: We need someone to do laundry, ensure all regular condiments are there, watch for food bargains, pick up and delivery of various items
Day of the dinner: Cooks and bakers, drivers and volunteers who can lift and carry as we need to get everything to the Civitan, drivers with cars, someone to put the sign up.
At the Civitan: setting up tables, servers, dishwashers, assist folks who might need help, keep an eyed on the dessert table, make coffee and tea.
Clean up: sweep floor, put away tables, Plan B stuff taken to 61 Owen and put away (again we need folks to lift and carry as well as folks to transport).
